“Esme’s Grave Reflections: A Day of Decisions Unravel in GH Recap”

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 26, reveals that there were questions about what was keeping Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) since the Christmas party was breaking up at GH.

When Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) found out about Ava Jerome (Maura West) dealing with a break-in at Wyndemere, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) headed over there to investigate with him.

Meanwhile, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) startled armed Ava, so he wondered if she was looking for an intruder to take down.

Once Sonny and Laura showed up, Laura insisted on helping Dante search the castle.

Sonny stayed downstairs with Ava and considered the possibility that this could be connected to the Metro Court pool shooter.

Sonny pointed out Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) could be messing with Ava because of him if he was involved in both situations.

Regardless, Sonny insisted that Ava was under his protection and declared that she’d live with him until they could figure all this out.

On the turret, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) cried as she remembered more memories of how awful she used to be.

Once Esme headed back inside, she called Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and tried to work up the nerve to confess that she had her memories back.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) kept interrupting, so Esme backed out of telling Spencer the truth and just said he could keep Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) on Christmas morning.

Spencer and Trina spent the evening debating whether Esme was being generous or perhaps had a date that gave her somewhere else to be.

Although Trina remained wary of trusting Esme, she eventually got her focus back on Spencer – at least until it was time to head home and open a present at midnight with her family.

Back with Esme, she looked at Spencer’s picture on her phone and ultimately realized she couldn’t confess anything to him.

Esme cried over how Spencer only cared about Trina, but then she heard a noise and realized she had to get out of there.

While Dante and Laura were searching, Esme bolted and dropped a glove as she ran.

Dante eventually found that glove, so Laura wondered if it belonged to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

However, Dante could tell it was a woman’s glove instead and considered the possibility that it might belong to Ava.

In the cemetery, Esme visited Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) grave and didn’t even know why she was there since he wasn’t a good dad.

Deceased Ryan was the only person Esme felt she could confide in right now.

Esme suggested that Ryan and Heather Webber (Alley Mills) were the only people who’d understand her need to keep her memories a secret.

It was messed up since Esme assumed her parents would tell her to lie.

Esme reflected on how it should be easy to choose the positive path she’d built with her good job, new apartment and amazing child.

Nevertheless, Esme also knew it’d be so easy to head back down the crooked path that Ryan had taught her to take.

Esme considered the possibility that she didn’t have a choice and that she was just bad because it was in her DNA.

When Esme reached in her pocket, she made an alarming discovery as she realized she was missing a glove.

In the church confessional, Cyrus posed as the priest and got Nina to spill how she was responsible for someone suffering in prison.

Nina opened up about reporting something to the authorities when she didn’t have to and letting an innocent man take the blame.

Cyrus suggested that it was never too late to fix what was broken and urged Nina to confess to the people she’d hurt.

Nina feared she’d lose everything, but Cyrus once again encouraged her to unburden herself and suggested God would be with her.

After speaking with Father Molina (Carlos Arellano) later, Cyrus decided that if Nina wouldn’t confess and do what was good for her soul, then he might have to do it for her.

At the hospital, Nina found Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and talked about something shifting for her at the church tonight.

Although Nina tried to apologize for her past behavior, Carly thought Nina felt entitled to forgiveness on top of everything else she already had.

Carly made it clear that she wouldn’t give that gift and said Nina would have to look elsewhere for redemption.

Nina was trying to speak her truth, but Carly had no interest in hearing it.

Nina got agitated over Carly’s reaction, but Carly eventually stomped off to enjoy the rest of her holiday with her family.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina’s world will get turned upside down soon, so stay tuned for updates on the shocking news that’ll blow everything up.
