General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 19, reveals that Roman Hume (Mark Engelhardt) ambushed Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) while they were waiting for her Interpol contact on the pier.

Once Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) called to warn Dante that John Brennan (Charles Mesure) was in town, he told Anna they needed to get somewhere less exposed. It was already too late since Hume came around the corner and fired shots.

Dante and Anna ducked behind a crate before Anna eventually came out with her hands raised.

Anna acted like she was willing to hand over the evidence and distracted Hume long enough for Dante to sneak around to knock him in the head.

Once Hume was subdued, Dante looked at his identification and saw that he was connected to Pikeman.

Sam showed up as well and hinted about perhaps knowing where Brennan was now.

At Kelly’s, Brennan returned to find Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), who played it cool and offered to heat up some meatloaf.

Carly forgot her phone on the table, so Brennan picked it up and saw an article about him being the WSB director on the screen.

Brennan ultimately decided he’d have to do something about Carly and pulled a gun on her, but she smacked him with a tray and made him drop the weapon.

Anna, Dante and Sam arrived with backup, so they got the upper hand on Brennan, who was arrested.

Brennan took a moment to taunt Anna and sarcastically wished her luck as he was led away in handcuffs.

In the Quartermaine kitchen, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) talked Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) into pushing back a Deception meeting until after Christmas.

Tracy headed out, so Lois, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) were able to talk alone.

Ned was appalled at the thought of Brook Lynn giving up her music management career, but BLQ and Lois explained the scheme to give Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) control of Deception.

At Café Cherie, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) vented to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) while they waited for Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to wrap things up in Rice Plaza.

Lucy ranted about the Deception chaos and shared how Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) pressured her to take a Florida trip with him before dropping the idea.

Scott had too much to drink at the bar and confronted Lucy about not doing enough to stand up to Tracy, who eventually walked in.

Tracy ordered a drink and bickered with Scott, who brought up the time they got hot and heavy.

After Tracy admitted she was trying to forget that, Scott insulted Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and got a drink thrown in his face.

At Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) apartment on Tuesday’s GH episode, Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) complained about Ned adding to her blackmail drama, but Ava had problems of her own.

Ava showed Nina the gun that she found in a drawer and mentioned the ominous note that was left with it.

After Ava admitted she still suspected Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), she suggested maybe he was framing her if that gun was also used on Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth).

Since Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) and Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) were going to be in the living nativity pageant, Nina suggested they should get down the Rice Plaza for the distraction.

Meanwhile, Donna was dressed as a lamb and expressed excitement to Sonny as well as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) showed up in Rice Plaza and insisted he was going to be one of the wisemen in the pageant, but Sonny shut down that idea and refused to let Cyrus anywhere near his children.

In fact, Sonny revealed that Cyrus had already been replaced, so then Martin appeared dressed as a wiseman to take over for his brother.

Cyrus wasn’t happy about the change, but Laura convinced him to let it go and walk away for his sister’s sake. However, Cyrus lingered nearby and did plenty of eavesdropping!

At one point, Cyrus overheard Donna and Michael discussing where everyone would be celebrating Christmas.

Later, Nina bickered with Michael about the SEC mess and how Ned was demanding Aurora info, so Cyrus also listened in on that conversation intently. As a result, Cyrus got updates on some shocking news!

Nina managed to convince Michael that it wasn’t good for either one of them if this all blew up and Sonny found out the informant truth.

Michael agreed to handle the Ned situation and left Nina relieved.

General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus seems poised to blow everything sky high anyway, especially since he was grinning so mischievously!
