“Fatherly Fallout: General Hospital Spoilers Predict Dex’s Dad’s Impact on Port Charles!”

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show has a chance to follow up on some of the hints Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) offered back at Christmastime. Dex opened up to Josslyn Jacks (currently being played by Courtney Fulk) about his difficult childhood and how his father was a cheating scoundrel who’d do anything to win.

We also know Dex’s dad stood by and did nothing when Dex’s brothers beat him up to the point of hospitalization.

Dex certainly didn’t have anything good to say about his father, so their reunion will be a hostile one if it ever happens.

Now that GH writers have been exploring all this drama between Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) and his parents, it’s only fair that they dig deeper into Dex’s family issues.

Dex is a more important character than Adam, so he deserves to have his backstory fleshed out with some new shockers. It’d be great if Dex’s father could come to town and create all kinds of chaos.

Since John Brennan (Charles Mesure) popped up on canvas around the same time that Dex was confiding in Josslyn about his dirtbag dad, that led to some speculation that they might be father and son.

However, it seems like the show wanted to wrap up Brennan’s arc in a hurry since they arrested him.

Now that Brennan has been hauled off in handcuffs, that makes it less likely that he’ll turn out to be Dex’s dad.

Of course, Brennan was Australian and had other aspects of his story that didn’t quite add up to being Dex’s papa anyway.

It’d be better for the show to bring on a new character or perhaps a face from the past to play Dex’s father instead.

Dex is on the verge of facing some difficult decisions about his role in Sonny’s organization and what lines he’s willing to cross.

If Dex’s dad eventually shows up, he could make a mess by threatening to expose secrets – like the fact that Dex started out as Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) plant in Sonny’s organization if he somehow figures that out.

There might even be a situation where Dex is faced with the task of taking out his own father permanently, especially if this guy becomes Sonny’s enemy.

Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Dex seemingly feels nothing but animosity toward his dad, so stay tuned for updates on the bad news his father’s debut could lead to.
