General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 10, reveals that various Port Charles residents were shown getting ready for Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) funeral, so the episode started on a somber note.

When Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) arrived at Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place, he got hugs from Josslyn Jacks (temporarily played by Courtney Fulk) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Carly came downstairs to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) before embracing Lucas and wondering how they were going to do this. Lucas didn’t know, but he assured Carly that they’d get through it.

When Carly got an unexpected phone call, she joined Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) at Kelly’s, where the hand-painted sign had been broken and torn down in the storm.

On Wednesday’s GH episode, Liz offered to paint a new one and said she could handle this for Carly, who was grateful.

At the church, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) told Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about sometimes feeling like she had a memory of Tony Jones (Brad Maule) listening to her chest after the heart transplant.

Maxie suggested it was impossible since she wasn’t conscious, but Anna and Felicia argued that even unconscious patients could still be aware in some ways.

Over with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), she apologized for being late and told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that she was convincing Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) to stay home since she wasn’t feeling well.

Michael was just glad Willow was there now, so Willow talked about how she loved Bobbie and knew Michael loved her even more.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showed up to offer support to Carly and everyone else mourning the loss.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) arrived with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), so they both extended their condolences to Josslyn.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was also there with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and hoped she could honor Bobbie’s memory since she was set to give the eulogy.

After Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) gave Carly her sympathy, she approached Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and got her to agree to a truce today for Bobbie.

Once Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) lit a candle, she talked to Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) about how Bobbie had been there for them.

Kristina was thankful since Bobbie stepped up for her after what happened with Kiefer Bauer (Christian Alexander).

Once Maxie took a seat, she asked if Anna knew the mystery woman sitting across the room.

Anna didn’t recognize her, but she assumed it was a former patient or one of the many people Bobbie had helped.

After the service began, the pallbearers brought in Bobbie’s casket. Laura gave a beautiful eulogy that was followed by Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) speech about Bobbie’s friendship.

Elizabeth also spoke about Bobbie being a healer who helped her through some difficult times.

Next, Carly spoke about finding her mother as an adult and how Bobbie’s acceptance changed her. After Carly expressed her love for Bobbie, she insisted the world was a different place without her mom in it.

Once the service wrapped up, Maxie approached the mystery woman and found out she was a reporter named Angela Brighton (Brighton Hertford).

Angela said she was doing a story on Maxie’s friend, so Maxie was curious about this story about Bobbie.

Elsewhere, Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) reflected on Bobbie being a real team player and smiled over some Nurses Ball memories as he comforted Lucas.

At Kelly’s, Carly gathered with Maxie and Angela the reporter, but she warned that she didn’t want the press making a mockery of Bobbie’s demise.

Maxie pushed Carly to hear Angela out, so Angela explained that she had been stationed at the AP in Amsterdam, where Bobbie had been devoting her time to a charity rescue organization.

With the help of a contact, Bobbie was secretly helping young women escape human trafficking and making sure they were able to get asylum.

Bobbie was in the process of trying to get one particular woman to the states sooner, but Angela was unsure if the woman ever made it out.

Carly was overwhelmed and needed some air, so she stepped outside and reflected on Bobbie doing so much more than settling Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) affairs.

After Carly talked to Felicia about a potential lead, she met with Tracy and quizzed her about what she knew.

Tracy was in the dark on Bobbie’s rescue work, but she did recall Bobbie mentioning Luke’s cabin in Ontario.

Tracy also noted that Bobbie often went off on her own and offered updates on a café that she followed Bobbie to.

Carly decided to fly to Amsterdam tonight and try to find Bobbie’s contact tomorrow, but she didn’t want Drew to go with her.

Josslyn was also uneasy about Carly’s mission, but Carly wanted to help Bobbie find peace.

Joss and Drew were ultimately proud of Carly, but Drew suggested no one would be prouder than Bobbie.

Outside Kelly’s, Felicia told Angela that she had kind eyes, so Angela suggested that empathy was part of her job.

Felicia wanted to spend some time by herself, so she gave Maxie a hug and took off.

Angela noted that Maxie had a special bond with her mother and said she felt the same way about her own mom.

Although Angela was supposed to leave on her flight tomorrow night, Maxie hinted about making some arrangements and meeting up again.

Maxie promised that Angela wouldn’t be disappointed.

As Carly exited her house with her suitcase, Felicia showed up to join her and wanted to give this one last gift to Bobbie.

Carly said they’d better get going as she accepted Felicia’s help tracking down Bobbie’s contact.

General Hospital spoilers say the show will continue Bobbie’s tribute with an Amsterdam quest, so stay tuned for news on all the action.
