Then, Eric roped RJ into helping him design his “grand finale” collection. It was a simple way for Eric to get RJ into fashion and become part of the patriarch’s legacy.

When Zende learned that RJ worked with Eric, he was furious. Zende didn’t understand why Eric would have a non-fashion family member help him with his collection.
Zende even confronted Ridge and accused him of nepotism with RJ. However, Ridge made it clear that he wasn’t involved in that decision, and that it was Eric who approached RJ.

Even though Zende is focused on Eric right now, he hasn’t forgotten how he’s being treated. In fact, Zende met Luna after the fashion showdown. It seems to fans that Zende was targeting Luna to hurt RJ. However, it seems that Zende actually does have some respect for the intern.
In fact, de Metz told Soap Opera Digest that Zende finds Luna very pretty but also respects her work ethic. So, there might definitely be a love triangle brewing here!

The actor also discussed how Zende feels that he’s not a real member of the Forrester family.
“This plays into the larger theme of, ‘What is his position in the family?’ And I don’t know how anyone could shake that feeling in his position. This is what I’ve been loving about this arc. How do you feel if basically, you’ve been ushered into this family, but then you’re seemingly ostracized during a very significant point in the family history? It raises an eyebrow for Zende.”
It sounds like after Eric’s death sentence storyline wraps up, Zende could take drastic action. Zende might start to notice more of him being excluded from important family matters. So, this could definitely kick off and ramp up the rivalry between RJ and Zende.
