“Dying Wishes: B&B Spoilers Introduce Donna and Eric’s Emotional Sickbed Wedding Dilemma!”
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Eric Forrester (John McCook) has been working hard to make sure he’s satisfied with the legacy he’s leaving behind. That’s why Eric has been really pouring his heart into his final collection at Forrester Creations.
Of course, Eric is now planning a big party to celebrate his life and secretly say goodbye to the people he cares about. That’s Eric’s way of finding closure with his family and friends ahead of his looming demise.
However, we can’t help but feel like Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) is getting a bit lost in the shuffle. Donna has been Eric’s rock throughout this terrifying ordeal, so he appreciates all her support.
Eric has voiced that support to Donna, but he needs to find a way to really show her. If Donna and Eric’s life together is going to get cut short, then Eric needs to pop the question and marry her while he still can.
Eric doesn’t want to be stuck in a hospital bed as the end draws near, but he may eventually reach the point where he’s too weak to be up walking around.
As a compromise, perhaps Eric could be confined to his sickbed in the comfort of his own home. Will that be when Eric proposes to Donna and decides he’d better take advantage of this last chance to tie the knot?
The idea of Donna marrying fading Eric at his bedside sounds both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It could be that perfect bittersweet combination that helps sell the poignant nature of this B&B storyline.
Naturally, no one can say with certainty that Eric will actually succumb to his illness. The writers have been vague about what Eric’s diagnosis is, so there’s plenty of wiggle room when it comes to finding a cure.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will take a look at Eric’s chart and dive into some research during the week of December 4-8. It appears Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) will learn what Finn’s up to, so she could offer some help as well.
Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) and someone named Dr. Martin (Cirie Fields) also seem poised to help try to find a life-saving treatment for Eric.
Even if it looks like Eric’s demise is imminent, a Christmas miracle could save him and allow for a full recovery depending on how things play out.
If Eric survives after a sickbed wedding with Donna, they could go on to have many more years together as husband and wife.
