NCIS LA’s Callen and Anna tie the knot in wedding day peek as CBS drops first-look snaps
The long-awaited wedding of Callen and Anna will finally take place, as CBS has released first-look photos.
Although fans were disappointed to learn that CBS’ long-running procedural drama NCIS Los Angeles would be ending, the series finale could end with happy tears.
The season 14 finale will take place on Sunday, May 14, and network executives have revealed that the show will end in two parts.
The first half, titled New Beginnings, will follow the agents as they investigate the disappearance of an ATF agent.
While in New Beginnings, Part Two, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna Kolchek (Bar Paly) will marry.
Fortunately for fans, CBS provided significant insight into the festivities with the release of three photos.
According to the first image obtained by TVLine, Callen’s colleague and close friend Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) is his best man.
While Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) appears to be Anna’s maid of honor, the couple gazes lovingly into each other’s eyes.
Another photo shows the wedding proceeding smoothly as Callen places a ring on Anna’s finger.
The newlyweds then share a kiss in front of their loved ones, including Devin Rountree (Caleb Castille) and Fatima Namazi (Medalion Rahimi), who can be seen in the photo.
In recent episodes, fans saw the couple take their first steps toward their wedding by meeting with a wedding planner, Tara Walker (Rosanna Pansino).
However, all of their planning may have been for naught because the synopsis describes their wedding as a “impromptu wedding,” implying it was a spur-of-the-moment decision.
Anna’s decision to have her father, Arkady Kolcheck, officiate the wedding was also put to rest by the photos, which showed a woman leading the ceremony.
The finale will reveal whether Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) will finally return to the big screen, with their loved ones in attendance.
Earlier in the season, Callen put off wedding planning because he didn’t want to get married without her present.
Hetty is not only a beloved member of the team; she is also a significant figure in Callen’s life, whom he has known since he was five years old, when his mother was murd3red.
Hetty was determined to keep him safe and eventually became his mother; she also held the answers to his questions about his past.
“As Callen starts thinking about his upcoming wedding to Anna, he would want Hetty present…,” showrunner R Scott Gemmil teased. The goal is to accomplish it this season.”
