“B&B Update: Recap of Liam’s Marriage Proposal and the Revelation of Finn’s Secret”

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, October 20, reveals that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) admitted that by shoving Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) face into that messy plate, she was offering a reminder. It was Li’s way of saying it was disgusting that Sheila wasn’t rotting in prison for the rest of her life.

Li tasted the sauce off Sheila’s face and said it was bitter just like her. Moments later, Sheila spied the row of knives nearby and was clearly struggling not to lunge for them.

Even so, Sheila warned Li that she wouldn’t fall for her attempts to provoke her.

Since Sheila didn’t take bait that easily, she wasn’t going to do something stupid and land back in jail.

At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) warned that Sheila was toxic and would ruin the relationship that they’d worked so hard to build.

Although Deacon tried to explain why he felt connected to Sheila, Hope insisted Sheila would move on once she was done using him.

Once Hope urged Deacon to get out of this before it was too late, Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) showed up and hinted about an emergency at the restaurant.

As Deacon left, he asked Hope not to lose faith in him and swore that he knew what he was doing.

Back at Il Giardino, Deacon demanded to know what was going on, so Sheila suggested that Li just wanted her to take a closer look at her sauce.

Li snapped that Deacon must be crazy if he wanted to be involved with a heinous creature like Sheila.

At Forrester Creations, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) found Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) in the design office and admitted he was looking for Hope.

Liam had a toy that belonged to Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), so he left it on the desk.

While Liam was there, he also ranted about Deacon and Sheila’s romance since Hope told him about it. Thomas and Liam were on the same page about that being a terrible idea.

After Liam ranted about some of John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) behavior, Thomas agreed that Finn had handled the Sheila situation all wrong.

However, Thomas got riled up when Liam said he wanted Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) back.

Finn was still Steffy’s husband, so Thomas said all he wanted was for his sister to be loved and safe.

Liam suggested Finn should act like a real husband then, so Thomas took a jab about Liam not acting like one when he bailed on Hope.

Thomas angrily asked how Liam thought he could keep Steffy safer than Finn, but Liam quickly took off.

Later, Hope was in tears as she returned to the office and gave Thomas updates on her conversation with Deacon.

That led to a passionate make-out session as Thomas reminded Hope of his love.

Hope was still trying to process the end of her marriage, but she now realized how exhausting it had been to be with someone who wasn’t fully committed for so long.

Although Hope found a home in Liam, it was never really hers to begin with.

Hope cried as she admitted she didn’t know if she’d feel that connection with another man, but Thomas said that was OK and that he understood.

Thomas added that it was completely fine and that he just wanted to be there holding Hope and loving her as well.

More kisses were shared as Thomas assured Hope that he’d always love her.

In Finn’s office, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) showed up to insist that Steffy needed to know about Deacon and Sheila’s relationship.

Finn didn’t want to scare Steffy off again just yet, but Ridge said it was Finn’s story to tell when the time came.

Next, Liam arrived and asked what Steffy said when Finn told her about Deacon shacking up with Sheila.

Once Liam realized Finn hadn’t told Stefy, he thought that was pretty unbelievable and acted like Finn didn’t have the nerve.

Finn didn’t think Liam should be questioning his love for Steffy when Liam had bounced back and forth between Hope and Steffy for so long.

Nevertheless, Liam felt there was no excuse for keeping this news from Steffy.

When Finn suggested that Sheila might actually listen to Deacon, Liam argued that Deacon wouldn’t keep Steffy safe.

Liam also felt like being with Finn at all meant danger for Steffy, so he was clearly against their connection.

Finn was summoned to deal with a patient, but he had a warning for Liam before he left.

After Finn ranted about Liam being disrespectful, he called it a “scumbag move.” Finn told Liam to stay out of his business and stay away from his wife!

Once Liam was alone, he looked at Steffy’s framed photo and decided to leave her a voicemail.

Liam mentioned Sheila and Deacon’s romantic involvement in the message before admitting that Finn was concealing that information.

Liam added that Finn had been blowing it from day one and that Sheila’s son would never keep Steffy’s family safe – not like Liam could.

After Liam pushed Steffy to come home, he clarified that he wanted her to come home to him and not Finn. Liam then disconnected and looked at Steffy’s pic once more.

“We were married once…we could do it again,” Liam declared as Friday’s B&B episode wrapped up.
