With a 99% Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, Strange New Worlds season 1 was one of the best-received Star Trek projects in recent years. Strange New Worlds’ episodic format has been a breath of fresh air that allows the show to tell all manner of Star Trek stories while developing its winning cast of characters, led by Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Lt. Spock. Strange New Worlds season 2 premieres Thursday, June 15th, on Paramount+ in the United States.

The titles and premiere dates of all 10 episodes of Strange New Worlds season 2 are as follows:

2. “Ad Astra Per Aspera” (June 22nd)

4. “Among the Lotus Eaters” (July 6th)

Some clues as to what’s to come in Strange New Worlds season 2 from those episode titles include “Hegemony” possibly being about the Gorn, as their civilization is known as the Gorn Hegemony. “Under the Cloak of War” certainly sounds straightforward and ominous, and “Ad Astra Per Aspera” is Latin for “To the Stars With Difficulty.” Episode 2 of Strange New Worlds season 2 will deal with the court-martial of Number One.

The entire cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is returning for season 2, including Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Ethan Peck as Lt. Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One AKA Commander Una Chin-Riley, Christina Chong as Lt. La’an Noonien Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Ensign Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. Joseph M’Benga. Uhura has notably been promoted from Starfleet Cadet to Ensign as she remains on the Starship Enterprise in Strange New Worlds season 2.
The two newest additions to the Strange New Worlds season 2 cast are Paul Wesley, who will portray Lt. James T. Kirk, and Carol Kane, who plays the Enterprise’s new Chief Engineer, Commander Pelia. Dan Jeannotte also reprises his recurring role as Lt. Sam Kirk, who may not be glad to see his younger brother, Jim, on the Enterprise. Melanie Scrofano is also back as Captain Batel, who is Captain Pike’s girlfriend, Adrian Holmes reprises Admiral Robert April, and Gia Sandhu returns as Spock’s Vulcan fiancée, T’Pring.
