Let's just say the actor isn't leaving TV any time soon.
NCIS: Los Angeles may be airing its final episode later this spring, but Eric Christian Olsen just announced he isn’t leaving TV just yet.
A few weeks after CBS announced that the show will end after 14 seasons, the actor surprised his followers by revealing his next project on Instagram. Posting a screenshot of an article from TVLine, Eric shared that he’s staying with the network to work on a show inspired by the 1980s legal drama Matlock. He’s not only slated to co-executive produce it under his company Cloud Nine Productions, but the cast will be led by Academy Award-winning actress Kathy Bates.
“So overwhelmed with excitement to be partnering with these creative superstars,” he wrote on February 9. “Jennie [Snyder Urman], Joanna [Klein], Sierra, Bethany, Kathy, Kat, Ann a [Volain Jones], Meagen, John [Will], our partners at @cbstvstudios and @cbstv LFG!!!!”
