“Sizzling Drama: General Hospital’s Monday Recap Leaves Fans on Edge”
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, January 8, reveals that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) thoughts of Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) were interrupted by Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) arrival at the door.
Since Liz just wanted to visit Kelly’s and feel closer to Bobbie right now, Carly invited her in for a cup of coffee.
While Carly was in the kitchen, she lost her temper over the backed-up sink. Liz got a wrench and banged around on the pipes since the sink was a problem back when she worked at Kelly’s.
Carly talked about not wanting to let Bobbie down, but Elizabeth acted like that he’d be impossible.
After Liz opened up about how Bobbie had helped her, Carly was grateful for the conversation and support.
At Deception, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) showed up while Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) was talking to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) about the secret DNA test she ran.
Sasha suggested that meant Felicia knew Cody had told the truth about the first DNA test results. Felicia claimed that she indeed knew that now and was sorry, but her demeanor made it seem like she still believed otherwise.
Felicia kept laying it on thick about how she wanted to tell Cody the truth because it was the right thing to do. It seemed like Felicia was trying to guilt-trip Cody into a confession.
After Felicia left with Maxie, they spent some time at B.J. Jones’ (Brighton Hertford) grave and hugged over the loss of Bobbie.
Back with Sasha, she confessed to Cody that she intercepted the DNA test and swapped her own hair so that the results would be negative.
Cody was upset over Sasha implicating herself in his crime, but she downplayed the risks and insisted that she wanted to help him.
At Café Cherie, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) made a phone call and demanded some hard-to-find flowers since they were Bobbie’s favorites.
Lucy opened up to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) about never being able to make things right with Bobbie now and admitted she was perhaps jealous of her.
After a heartfelt conversation, Lucy put Scott’s attention back on their plan to get him married to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) for her takedown.
Meanwhile, Tracy stepped away from her meeting with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and approached Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), who was at a table alone instead of with Lucy as planned.
After Martin said Lucy and Scott were working on something for Bobbie’s memorial, Tracy warned that nothing good could come from those two putting their heads together.
Tracy hinted about Lucy’s next misdeed always being just around the corner and tried to raise Martin’s suspicions of Lucy being around Scott.
Once Tracy headed back to her table with Brook Lynn, she offered updates on Lucy and Scott scheming against her.
Tracy revealed her retaliation plans and got back to their work meeting, but Brook Lynn seemed concerned over Tracy trying to distract herself from her grief.
In Carly’s kitchen, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) showed up to offer Josslyn Jacks (temporarily played by Courtney Fulk) her condolences and check on Carly, who was at Kelly’s for some alone time.
Josslyn left the room, which gave Willow a chance to comfort Michael Corithos (Chad Duell) as well.
Michael was apologetic about lying to Willow and missed her last night, but Willow still needed some space.
Now Willow was looking at their relationship with fresh eyes and processing how much Michael hurt her.
That said, Willow wanted to be there for Michael and his family since she knew the focus was on Bobbie right now.
Once Willow left, Josslyn pushed Michael for answers about how he screwed up, so Michael confessed to hiding Nina Corinthos’ (Cynthia Watros) SEC informant guilt.
Josslyn was upset with Michael for keeping that a secret from Carly and everyone else, but Michael explained why he did it.
After Michael asked if Josslyn had ever lied to protect someone she loved, she softened and agreed the family needed to come together in this time of mourning.
At the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about Bobbie’s demise shortly before Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) showed up.
Diane felt confident she could get Sonny out on bail considering Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) criminal history and recent release from Pentonville.
When Diane brought up Nina and asked if Sonny wanted her to start divorce proceedings, he suggested supporting his family through their Bobbie grief was the most important thing right now.
Once Diane got Sonny out on bail, he surprised Carly by showing up at Kelly’s, so they locked eyes as Monday’s GH episode concluded.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Carly have some warm moments ahead, so stay tuned for news on what that means for their future.
