General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that John Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) storyline was wrapped up lickety split after the writer’s strike ended.
Brennan was outed as the man at the top at both Pikeman and the WSB after a brief flirtation with Carly Spencer (Laura Wirght). He was carted off to jail after it seemed he was about to do away with her. Now the danger is over—or is it?

Brennan was a bad guy no doubt, but he was charming in a weird way. Who’s to say that he won’t be back? Just because he’s in jail doesn’t mean that he can’t be on the canvas.
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was still running his empire from jail, and tons of GH fans were intrigued by the mysterious Aussie
There are plenty of storylines Brennan could be a part of if the show reverses course.
He could get out on a technicality, or good behavior.
Then again he could pull a fast one as Cyrus did. He could also break out of jail, or with his connections find a loophole.

When Brennan was arrested he didn’t look a man who was defeated. He was smarmy and looked like this was going to be no big deal.
He targeted Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to prevent himself from getting tripped up due to a botched WSB event. He may still be willing to take her down if he’s that vindictive.
Brennan was also involved with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) through his Pikeman enterprise.
Sonny was putting the screws to Pikeman at the time of Brennan’s arrest and he was furious about that. If Brennan is a man who likes to even scores, he may still go after the coffee importer.

Brennan had a strange thing going on with Carly, and that may double his resolve to strike out at Sonny. Carly was key to his undoing and if he hurts Sonny he also hurts Carly.
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Brennan may have some venomous juice left. We haven’t seen Selina Wu (Lydia Look) in a while, so there’s definitely an opening on the canvas for a new baddie.
