“B&B Drama Unleashed: Monday’s Update Brings Unexpected Obstacles for Eric and RJ’s Disturbing News”
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Monday, December 18, reveals that Eric Forrester (John McCook) will be drawn to Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) and his peaceful surroundings. Once Eric pulled through the surgery, he apparently faced another setback in recovery later.
Eric recalled hazy memories of being wheeled to the OR and kept seeing glimpses of the sun in a wooded area.
There was even a brief clip of space at one point along with the bright light that filled every corner of the room.
B&B was trying to show that Eric was close to crossing over, especially since Stephanie was there to say he was home.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) previously told Eric to be with Stephanie and Phoebe Forrester (MacKenzie Mauzy) when he invited his father to let go.
Although Ridge eventually relented on the experimental procedure, his invitation still stands if Eric wants to leave this life behind.
Of course, that would mean putting Ridge, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and the rest of his loved ones through a lot of pain.
Eric surely won’t want to leave all the people he cares about in mourning before it’s truly his time to pass on.
That’s why Eric’s trip to the afterlife will ultimately be derailed!
Eric will keep fighting for a future in the land of the living, so Stephanie will just have to keep waiting in the great beyond.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) has warned that the recovery process could be quite difficult for Eric.
There may be some complications along the way that make it tough for Eric to reclaim his independence, but he’ll hang in there and stick with it.
In the meantime, Ridge will meet up with RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) and offer updates on everything that just went down at the hospital.
RJ will be horrified when he realizes just how close they came to losing his beloved granddad.
Although RJ may not agree with Ridge’s choice to almost pull the plug, he should understand that his father was in a terrible position.
RJ knows what it’s like to want to be uncertain of what to do since he faced a similar situation when he was hiding Eric’s illness.
The important thing is that Eric got this procedure and has a chance to recover.
Even if Ridge still second-guesses it based on Eric’s potential quality of life decline, RJ will think he made the right call in the end.
