General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) could use someone on the inside of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) operation. That whole nanny plot with Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) was a bust, so Cyrus needs someone who Sonny already trusts.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is the logical choice here, so maybe Cyrus will decide to dig up some dirt and deliver some threats.
What if Cyrus has his people do some research and figures out that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired Dex as a plant in Sonny’s organization?
Cyrus might use that as leverage and argue that Sonny won’t let Dex live if he finds out about a betrayal of this magnitude.
Even if Dex decides he’ll take his chances and tell Sonny the truth himself, Cyrus might warn that there’ll be consequences.
The quickest way to get Dex to fold would be to threaten Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Perhaps Cyrus will warn that if Dex wants to keep Josslyn alive, then he’ll do what he’s told and play for a new team.
If Dex decides to be loyal to Sonny instead, Cyrus may assure him that his girlfriend will end up in a body bag!
GH fans know Cyrus is a powerful baddie who’s indeed capable of doing something like that – and Dex knows it, too.
Out of deep fear for Josslyn, Dex might agree to take orders from Cyrus and try to find a way out of the mess in the meantime. Of course, that could put Dex in an extremely precarious position.
Sonny could retaliate over Dex working for the enemy if he discovers what’s really going on.
Any excuse Dex might offer about trying to protect Josslyn may not fly with Sonny – especially if it comes out that Dex has been lying to him from the start.
Besides, Sonny expects Dex to come to him when a problem like this arises instead of trying to handle it on his own.
Since Sonny still cares about Josslyn and considers her a member of his family, he’ll be livid if Dex keeps quiet about any threats Cyrus makes against her.
Cyrus is going to need more help than ever now that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) is deceased and Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) is in prison.
Will Dex become Cyrus’ new recruit? Will Cyrus back Dex into a corner and get some Sonny takedown help?
