“Los Angeles Unrest: Eric’s Health Crisis and Katie’s Press Release in B&B”
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 24, reveals that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) kept pressuring RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) to come clean since it seemed like he was holding something back about Eric Forrester (John McCook).
Ridge insisted that if something was wrong with Eric, then he needed to know.
Brooke agreed with Ridge, but RJ only confessed that Eric had never been more determined to create a collection.
RJ suggested it was like Eric’s life depended on this and hyped up how much it meant to his grandfather.
After RJ said he had to go, Ridge reminded him that family comes first no matter what happens on that runway.
RJ didn’t doubt Eric and Ridge’s love, so he hoped that they didn’t doubt his love for them either.
In the design office, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) got a text from Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), who once again warned Luna to stay away from Forrester Creations.
Luna flashed back to some memories of trading support with RJ and sharing a kiss.
When Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) appeared, he could tell that Luna was distracted.
However, Luna blamed it on being swamped with all the fashion show prep, so Carter understood – especially since she was new and this event was so epic.
Carter just wished Ridge and Eric weren’t pitted against each other, but RJ walked in and suggested they could keep it friendly.
RJ also praised how Eric had put his body and soul into his latest collection, so Carter talked about Eric being so amped up and full of life.
Once Carter was gone, RJ talked to Luna about Ridge putting him on the spot by asking what was wrong with Eric. It left RJ feeling guilty despite respecting Eric’s wishes, so Luna tried to offer reassurance.
Even so, RJ worried that Ridge wouldn’t be able to get past his silence once the truth came out.
If RJ’s own father were sick and nobody told him, he admitted he’d be angry and hurt.
RJ worried that he might be robbing Ridge of precious time with Eric and said he thought his dad deserved to know the truth, so Luna offered a comforting hug.
When Carter appeared in the main office, Brooke pushed him to pick a side in the fashion challenge.
Carter said he was rooting for Ridge, but he ended up throwing some support behind Eric, too.
Ridge acted like it didn’t matter if Carter supported the sentimental favorite since fully intended to beat Eric on the runway.
In a moment alone with Ridge, Brooke expressed concern over this fashion challenge affecting his relationship with RJ since so much pressure was on him.
Ridge thought it’d be fine and talked about the importance of keeping Eric out of that CEO chair.
In Ridge’s opinion, Eric should be off mentoring and not running the company again.
After Ridge scoffed at the idea of this being Eric’s grand finale, he added that his dad wasn’t going anywhere.
At the Forrester mansion on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) continued consoling Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) over Eric’s devastating diagnosis.
Donna explained why RJ started helping Eric design and how they made magic until Eric declined even further.
Katie was horrified to learn Eric had been coughing up blood and even more horrified to learn Eric only had six months to live – or maybe less.
Donna was grateful for Katie’s support, so Katie pointed out that Brooke would be there for her too if she knew what was up.
After Donna warned that Eric didn’t want anyone to know, Katie agreed they’d do what was best for Eric.
When Eric came back, he could tell from Katie’s emotional expression that she realized what was happening.
Katie embraced Eric, who found out she overheard he was dying when she came back for her phone.
Once Katie expressed how sorry she was, Eric insisted he wasn’t going anywhere and didn’t want Katie to tell anyone – least of all Ridge and Brooke.
Eric also wasn’t going to worry about Dr. Colin Colby’s (Justiin Davis) bad news – just like Katie didn’t listen to her doctors when they warned her not to have a baby with her heart condition.
Since this grand finale collection was like Eric’s own baby, he planned to raise it and bring it to fruition.
Eric didn’t think Ridge was taking care of his legacy properly, so he wanted to leave a mark and put his name on the company indelibly.
Dr. Colby advised against the showdown earlier, so Katie suggested it wasn’t too late to back out.
Although Katie said she could have a press release circulating within an hour, Eric refused to bail on the fashion faceoff.
After Eric insisted this was his battle, his choice, his life and his company, he made it clear that he was moving forward with the fashion show.
If this was Eric’s last act, he said he was going to take his final bow HIS way!
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Eric and Ridge’s couture competition will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned for updates on all the drama.
