Ellen Pompeo plans to appear in new episodes of Grey's Anatomy
After leaving the regular cast of Grey’s Anatomy in the 20th season, Ellen Pompeo said in a conversation that she intends to appear in some episodes of the 20th season. It was a real buzz on the internet after the announcement that the protagonist of the medical drama was leaving the main cast of the series, in fact many even asked for the closure of the series.
Ellen Pompeo signed on for just eight episodes of Season 19, appearing in the first seven episodes and then the season finale. However, the star continues as an executive producer of the series and narrator of the episodes. The most anticipated meeting for Grey’s Anatomy fans finally happened, Katherine Heigl (Izzie Stevens) and Ellen Pompeo (Meredith) joined for a very pleasant conversation.

It seems that not so many years have passed since Heigl’s departure from Grey’s Anatomy. During the conversation, Pompeo talked about his character on Grey’s Anatomy and revealed that he intends to appear in some episodes of the new season. Incidentally, she even pointed out that not completely from the show.
“I’m not completely out. In fact, the plot is pretty cool. There’s a lot of real research that’s changing very quickly about Alzheimer’s disease […] So Meredith’s character left to go to Boston because her daughter needed to go to a special school,” Pompeo said.
“I’m going to make some appearances hopefully next year if I can find some time. It’s not a complete goodbye. And I think we have an interesting story to tell.” – Ellen Pompeo
After 18 years of playing the same character, Ellen Pompeo will begin filming a new series for Hulu in September: “The working title is “The Orphan”. This is going to be a very interesting role to play. I haven’t played another character in 18 years. This is crazy, crazy city, crazy city.” Says Ellen Pompeo.
