General Hospital spoilers reveal Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has always had a soft spot for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), despite his choice in career — and he feels the same about her. Now that Laura is back in town — and her brother, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), is out of Pentonville — she’s going to call on her old friend Sonny to help her out with him. It’s reasonable that Laura would have concerns about Cyrus being back on the streets. She’s never really believed that he found God and has become a changed man.
Even with him supposedly giving all of his money away to a recidivism program, Laura questions Cyrus’ real intentions. When she asks Sonny for his opinion and support, she’s sure to get it.
General Hospital Spoilers — Laura Spencer Suspects The Worst
Laura has no details that help her to connect the dots of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) prison attack to Cyrus, but she can’t help but think something is amiss there. Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was acting as Mayor while Laura was out of town searching for her son.
It’s possible that Jordan may have overlooked what the warden has been up to at Pentonville, but it also seems like she’s pretty good at scheming the system.
Now with Laura back on the job and trying to make sense of what happened, she may start to suspect her own brother could have been at the of Drew’s brutal beating.
GH Spoilers – Hint Sonny Corinthos Shares Her Suspicions
Sonny won’t be surprised by any accusations that want to fall from Laura’s lips. She’ll be careful not to claim she knows Cyrus was behind the attack on Drew, but Sonny will pick up what she’s putting down. They both love Drew and don’t want to see any harm come to him again.
They know that just because Cyrus is out of Pentonville doesn’t mean his reach doesn’t still extend throughout the place. Moreover, another attack on Drew now that Cyrus is out could only serve to make it look like he’s not guilty when both Laura and Sonny think they know better.
General Hospital Spoilers — No One is Safe
Of course, while Drew is a priority because Pentonville doesn’t exactly provide the protection that he needs — absent him being in solitary confinement — Laura and Sonny know that Cyrus is a threat to everyone in Port Charles, too.
She may be able to use his affection for her to glean more information into what he’s up to, but he’s been rather good at keeping that close to his chest.
If Sonny comes into information that connects Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) as the doctor who checked in on Cyrus at Pentonville, all bets are off and he’ll instantly know it was Cyrus who Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) was ultimately reporting back to.
